MacBook Data Recovery Sale VIC | Water Damage, No Power & Mail-In Repair

If you are in Sale or the wider Gippsland region and your MacBook has stopped turning on, finding the right repair option can be difficult. A dead MacBook, liquid-damaged MacBook or MacBook with important data trapped inside often needs more than a normal computer repair service.

Many newer MacBooks use soldered SSD storage, which means the data is built into the logic board. If the MacBook has no power, the SSD cannot simply be removed and connected to another computer. In many cases, the logic board must be repaired or temporarily revived before the data can be accessed.

IT-Tech Online provides mail-in MacBook data recovery and board-level repair for Sale and Gippsland customers from our Melbourne workshop. We specialise in dead MacBooks, water-damaged MacBooks, no-power faults and data recovery from Macs that cannot boot.

Mail-In MacBook Repair for Sale and Gippsland Customers

For customers in Sale, travelling to Melbourne for MacBook repair is not always practical. Our mail-in service gives regional Gippsland customers access to specialist Mac logic board repair without the need to visit our workshop in person.

Before sending your MacBook, contact us first and describe what happened. We will ask for the MacBook model, the symptoms, whether liquid was involved, and whether your main priority is repair, data recovery, or both.

If the case is suitable for assessment, we will provide clear packing and sending instructions. A dedicated person handles our mail-in repairs, and we notify you once your MacBook arrives at our workshop.

No Fix, No Fee for Sale MacBook Repairs

Sending a dead MacBook from Sale to Melbourne can feel stressful, especially when the data is important. Our No Fix, No Fee policy helps reduce that risk.

If we cannot repair the fault or recover the required data, you do not pay the repair fee. We explain the result clearly, including whether the problem is caused by severe SSD/NAND damage, encryption issues, security system failure, corrosion, board damage or previous repair attempts.

Dead MacBook Data Recovery from Sale

A MacBook that will not turn on may still contain recoverable data. The problem is that on many 2017–2026 Intel and Apple Silicon MacBooks, the storage is soldered to the logic board and protected by Apple’s security system.

This means standard SSD removal is often not possible. The MacBook may need board-level repair before files can be copied.

At IT-Tech Online, we diagnose the circuits that may prevent the MacBook from powering on, including USB-C charging circuits, SSD power rails, liquid-damaged areas, shorted power rails and other logic board faults. In many cases, our goal is to repair or temporarily revive the MacBook enough to access the data safely.

For many Intel and Apple Silicon MacBooks from 2017 to 2026 with soldered SSD storage, we offer flat-rate data recovery options. A full Time Machine backup is $650 where possible. If a Time Machine backup cannot be completed, we can usually recover the main user data folders — Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Movies and Music — for $600.

Water-Damaged MacBook Repair Sale VIC

Liquid damage can be unpredictable. Some MacBooks stop turning on straight away. Others may appear to work for a few days before corrosion causes power failure, charging issues, black screen faults or data access problems.

We commonly help with water-damaged MacBooks showing faults such as:

  • No power after a liquid spill
  • USB-C charging stuck at 5V
  • MacBook not switching on
  • Black screen or no backlight
  • Keyboard or trackpad failure after liquid damage
  • Corroded logic board components
  • Burnt or shorted power circuits
  • Data trapped inside a dead MacBook

If your MacBook has been exposed to liquid, do not keep charging it or repeatedly pressing the power button. This can make the damage worse. You can also read more about our MacBook water damage repair service and how we diagnose liquid-damaged logic boards.

Why Board-Level Repair Matters for Data Recovery

For many dead MacBooks, data recovery is not just a software job. If the logic board cannot generate the required power rails, communicate with the storage, or pass Apple security checks, the data may remain inaccessible.

This is why board-level diagnosis is important. We inspect and test the logic board to locate the actual fault, such as a failed power chip, shorted capacitor, liquid-damaged USB-C controller, corroded component or damaged circuit.

In some cases, the MacBook may not need to be fully repaired for long-term use. It may only need to be repaired enough to power on, unlock, and copy the customer’s files.

Our logic board repair case studies show technical examples of how we diagnose no-power, water damage and power rail faults at component level.
